Event - Modefabriek AW13

Last week I went to visit the Modefabriek in Amsterdam for the new AW13 collections.
Modefabriek is a professional trade platform where hundreds of brands present their latest collections to the retail industry and press.

For me it's always fun to get to know new brands and especially (international) young designers.
But I must say that this time it was a bit disappointing. I don't know if it has to do something with the presentation or with the collections. I have not seen many great items as previous seasons and sometimes I have seen a few of the same items at different brands.

But there were a few brands that stood out of the crowd.
For example, the burgundy satchel bag from CALA&JADE. Which was definitely the best item that I've seen that day. CALA&JADE is from the Oslo-based Norweigan design duo Nina Amble Sandaas and Tina C. Skaar.

My other favorite item from the Modefabriek are the amazing black boots from Samsøe Samsøe.
They are incredibly cool due to the high wedge heel! So these shoes (+ the burgundy bag) are on my wishlist from now on.

The pink jacket is from a Dutch brand that I have discovered at the Modefabriek: EsQualo.
It's funny because I immediately recognized myself in their collection: beautiful jackets, soft tones and beautiful blouses. Besides the pink jacket on the photo, they also have beautiful sweaters with embellishments for the new fall season!
